SteelSeries Launches Arctis 7X & 7P Headsets In Latest Xbox And Sony PlayStation Designs
Gaming accessories specialist SteelSeries has expanded its 7-series Arctis headsets with the 7P and 7X, inspired by the Sony PlayStation 5 and Xbox X / S series, respectively. As with the existing Arctis 7, the comfortable headbands of the 7P and 7X headsets are complemented by retractable boom microphones and separate game and voice chat volume controls. There are two connection options – with a 3.5 mm plug or wireless.
Inspired by the Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One, the Arctis 7X is a mix of black and green. The all-white or all-black Arctis 7P perfectly matches the Sony PlayStation 5 design. Both headsets are complemented by a wireless adapter that can be connected via USB-C to a console or other device. It can be PC, Mac, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, the corresponding cable is included. The Arctis 7X model adapter can be set to use Microsoft’s proprietary wireless protocol for the Xbox with a dedicated switch.
After a full charge, both new products are promised 24 hours of battery life, however, for this, instead of USB-C, for some reason, MicroUSB is used. The price of SteelSeries Arctis 7P and 7X headsets on the European market is 180 euro. In the US, they cost $150 each.
