Tidal Connect integrated into Volumio

Italian company Volumio Srl a social unico, originally better known as a manufacturer of music software, has added Tidal Connect support to its products. Volumio had access to Tidal before – along with other network streaming capabilities – but now Volumio is effectively switching to the Tidal app.

When working directly through Tidal Connect, unnecessary intermediate data transfer is eliminated. They are processed directly in the streaming client. The result is that Tidal audio plays in the highest possible quality.

All this is now available not only to users of the MyVolumio application, but also to owners of the current branded Volumio Primo HiFi-Edition streamer. This compact device is web-based and requires a firmware update to version 2.878 to use Tidal Connect.
