Lapis are the first fully wireless earphones from the German company Ultrasone, which, by the way, has been operating in this market for more than 30 years. In the Lapis earphones, for the first time in the history of Ultrasone, the proprietary understanding of headphone sound was combined with modern Bluetooth technology (in version 5.2 with support for HSP/HFP/A2DP/AVRCP profiles and AAC/SBC codecs) and active noise reduction.
ANC & Ambient Sound
In total, a pair of Ultrasone Lapis earphones has 6 built-in microphones, 3 in each. In addition to active noise cancelling and telephony, microphones are also used in Ambient mode, transmitting everything that happens around to the owner’s ears. Both earbuds are also symmetrical in terms of control: on the outside of the cases there are touch panels that are used to control playback, receive or reject calls.
Fast & Wireless Charging
Built-in batteries will provide Ultrasone Lapis up to 45 hours of listening: up to 9 hours the earphones will work on their own, and then four more times they can be fully charged using the case. The case itself supports Qi wireless charging technology (in addition to USB-C). In addition, the novelty is protected from splashes according to the IP54 standard.
Availability and price
In the European market, Ultrasone Lapis cost 179 euros.
