Sonus faber Omnia: all-in-one premium wireless speaker

Italian audio engineers from Sonus faber have unveiled the Omnia premium wireless audio system. The design of the novelty should especially appeal to those who have had time to get bored with simple rectangular soundbars. The top panel of a wide and deep case with the texture of natural wood is completely dedicated to the touch interface called Senso.

This is both an indication that adorns the device and a control system for all its functions. So, you can choose the source: there are several options for digital and analog connections, including vinyl – the system has a built-in MM-phono stage. For communication with the TV, HDMI with ARC is provided, for smartphones – Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2 and Chromecast. The Sonus faber Omnia connects to the network via Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) or Wi-Fi (dual-band).

CRESCENDO advanced signal processing system

The Sonus faber Omnia sound features Crescendo technology, delivering surround sound and immersion through two side-mounted full-range speakers. In addition to them, a whole set of emitters is installed in a 4-way closed-type system with a total power of 490W.

Advanced 7 speaker system

Among them are a pair of small (0.75-inch) silk dome tweeters with a neodymium plate magnet system, two 3-inch midrange drivers with classic paper pulp cones, and a downward-firing 6.5-inch long-throw woofer with an aluminum cone (plus two side-mounted full-range CRESCENDO speakers). Together, all this allows the Omnia to work out the frequency range from 30Hz to 25kHz.

Availability and price

Sonus faber Omnia will be available in two finishes: walnut will be available from March 2022, and graphite will be available by summer.

In the US, the all-in-one high end wireless speaker Sonus faber Omnia will cost $2,000.
