Popori Acoustics WR1 – the company’s first mass-produced electrostatic speakers

The Hungarian company Popori Acoustics has been producing custom-made electrostatic acoustic systems for almost twenty years. Now the first production model of the company WR1 is released.

The structural elements of the panel are made of artificial stone Corian and Kerrock, and the base weighing 18 kg is made of 6 mm steel sheets made on a laser CNC machine. The columns are supported by steel supports, also cut from solid blanks.

The radiating membrane is made of a film that does not change its properties under the influence of ultraviolet rays and humidity, and the front surface additionally includes stretched strings that ensure the correct location of the diaphragm relative to the stator.

The claimed frequency range of the speaker extends from 25 to 30,000 Hz, sensitivity-90 dB/1 m, impedance-8 ohms (minimum-4 Ohms). Each column weighs 49 kilograms.
