Audio-Technica will release wired and wireless versions of the ATH-M50x headphones in a limited orange color
For Audio-Technica, the release of multi-colored limited versions of the iconic ATH-M50x headphones has already become a tradition: the first such headphones were released back in 2012, and during this time the company introduced eight color limits. Last year, a black and purple version was released, and this year, an orange one will appear.
The trim of the limited edition was chosen, one might say, by the whole world — Audio-Technica created a survey on its website, where it offered four colors: pink-white, coffee-white, black and black-orange. The latter option received the most votes — and the company has already started production of test samples. The orange coloring is called “Lantern Glow”.
In cases with bright orange cups, both wired and wireless versions of the M50x will come out. The characteristics and sound of the colors will not change: the same 45-mm speakers, hinged cups and tight-fitting ear pads.
In the Bluetooth version, there is the same wireless communication module that works on the basis of Bluetooth 5.0 and supports aptX, and a battery that will last for 40 hours of continuous operation.
The release of the orange headphones is scheduled for the summer of 2021. Apparently, the ATH-M50x will cost 169 euros, and the ATH-M50xBT – 219 euros.
