Austrian Audio Hi-X60 new professional studio headphones
We have already written about the Hi-X headphones by Austrian Audio, created by people from AKG. The firm has recently expanded this series of professional full-size headphones with the Hi-X60 model. The novelty is positioned as a reference level product. The manufacturer recommended the Hi-X60 for all types of studio work, including monitoring in noisy environments – the headphones are distinguished by increased noise isolation.
Thick, soft memory foam ear cushions and closed ear cups are designed to provide the musician or sound engineer with maximum immersion in sound. It can be both vocals and instrumental recordings.
Austrian Audio Hi-X60 uses 44mm drivers with powerful magnets. According to the developers, the model has become the most productive in its class. The firm drew attention to a ring magnet system with a copper-plated aluminum coil. This approach is designed to reduce the mass of the motor, as well as increase the speed and responsiveness of the membrane. This technology is called “High Excursion” (Hi-X).
Among other features of the model, the company highlighted powerful bass, natural sound and low distortion. According to the declared specifications, the headphones can play low frequencies up to 5 Hz. The sensitivity was 110dB, the impedance was 25Ohm.
The Austrian Audio Hi-X60 comes with two cables of different lengths and a 6.3mm adapter. The manufacturer noted that all mechanisms and headphone rim are made of durable materials, including metal. Austrian Audio promised that the headphones “can last for years.”
The Austrian Audio Hi-X60 has already appeared on the European market at a price of 349 euros.
