New DAFRAUD DAC on PCM1794A chip

The Swiss company has released a digital-to-analog Converter Merason Frérot, on the DAC Burr-Brown PCM1794A-not too new, but having a lot of fans. The device is built on a single chip – unlike the “big brother”, equipped with two, one per channel. It is also more compact than the older model – its dimensions are 22.5 x 5 x 18 cm.

Output stages – on discrete elements, work in class A. Digital inputs: optical, coaxial, USB-B. Outputs: 2 x RCA, 2 x XLR. The Converter accepts PCM signals up to 24 bit / 192 kHz and does not support DSD. The recommended price in Europe is 999 euro.
