HiBy Crystal 6 in-ear monitors: four-way assembly of six armature drivers
In-ear monitors HiBy Crystal 6 received a considerable set of armature drivers – six pieces. Five of them are of our own production: two mid-frequency 1006 BA, one 30098 and two high-frequency 31735 BA. Knowles 22955 is responsible for low frequencies.
HiBy Crystal 6 emitters are combined with a crossover on a board with gold-plated conductors. Panasonic capacitors work in its circuit. Together, the system fulfills a frequency range of 5 Hz – 60 kHz with a sensitivity of 107 dB / mW. The presented frequency response graphs demonstrate almost identical characteristics for each of the two headphones.
HiBy Crystal 6 cases are anatomically shaped and cast in epoxy resin. Each case is covered with enamel and is complemented by a Crystalline wooden cover with a unique pattern – individual for each earphone. The body is equipped with universal 2-pin connectors with contacts with a diameter of 0.78 mm.
They accept either a balanced OCC copper cable with a 4.4mm plug or a silver-plated SE copper cable with the more common 3.5mm mini-jack, both included. An impedance of 14 ohms allows the HiBy Crystal 6 to be used with virtually any signal source.
The manufacturer recommended the HiBy R6 player as an ideal source. In addition to two interchangeable cables, the kit includes a set of silicone and adaptive foam earbuds, a cleaning brush and a leather case.
In the US, HiBy Crystal 6 is already available for pre-order at a special price of $400. From March 25th, it will go up to the standard $460 per kit.
