HUAWEI strengthens its position in the TWS-headphones segment

According to the analytical company Strategy Analytics, in 2020 Huawei Consumer Business Group entered the top five leaders in the global TWS headphones market. Over the past year, the company has released several models of fully wireless headphones, including the HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro, which have received positive reviews and awards. The headphones have a hybrid technology of active noise cancellation up to 40 dB, a voice amplification mode, a dynamic equalizer setting and a comfortable connection to two devices at once.

A survey conducted by HUAWEI among HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro owners revealed the features of the model that attract buyers. 71.9% noted the battery life of the earbuds – up to 30 hours. 59.4% emphasized the convenience of smart touch controls. One of the key benefits for users was the intelligent dynamic active noise canceling technology – mentioned by 56.2% of respondents. In addition, 50% of respondents indicated wireless charging, 46.8% indicated the ability to connect to two devices at the same time, and 43.7% indicated premium design.

When asked about the place where the headphones are used, 83% answered that they wear them while traveling, in transport or on the street. At home, 72% of respondents actively use the device. It is used not only for listening to music (93% of respondents), but also for audio and video calls (78%), as well as for watching videos (63%). Slightly less than half, namely 42% of respondents, listen to audiobooks and radio with headphones.

When asked about the choice of FreeBuds Pro headphones, a third of the respondents answered that they already have other HUAWEI devices and trust the brand. 33.3% said they were attracted to HUAWEI’s proprietary technologies. 21% of respondents noted that this model has a good price-performance ratio.
