Kimber Kable 4PR and 8PR – new versions of classic cables

Kimber Kable 4PR and 8PR speaker cables first appeared on the market in 1979, and were the first to use the well-known solution, which consists in a certain pattern of braiding and twisting of conductors.

It made it possible to significantly reduce the level of radio frequency interference induced on the cable. In the new version, this solution was supplemented by the use of VariStrand technology, which consists in the use of copper conductors of different diameters in each conductor. The Kimber Kable 4PR and 8PR models differ in the number of conductors and the total cross section of the cores – 2x13AWG and 2x10AWG, respectively. Also in the new generation, copper of a higher degree of purity is used, new cables have better conductivity and low inductance.
