LG Soundbar 2021 Lineup
LG soundbar 2021 lineup is headed by the SP11RA. In fact, this is a 7.1 boxed home theater system that replaced last year’s SN11RG. Four more models – 5.1.2-channel SP9YA, 3.1.2-channel SP8YA, 5.1-channel SP7Y and 3.1.2-channel SPD7Y – are not equipped with rear satellites. But if you wish, you can buy a couple of SPK8 speakers.
LG continues to partner with Meridian to develop soundbars. All new products, without exception, support Meridian Horizon technologies and Meridian mode for converting stereo to multichannel sound. Also, all LG soundbar 2021 models operate in HDMI eARC / ARC audio return channel mode. All are certified for High-Resolution Audio, handling up to 24-bit / 96 kHz bitrate.
AI Sound Pro with TV Sound Mode Share
According to the company, LG TV’s AI Sound Pro mode will be available in the new products, when the TV Sound Mode Share technology transfers the AI Sound Pro audio processing from the TV to a more powerful soundbar. Thus, LG soundbars operate with the same sound modes as the company’s latest TVs.
In addition, three older models of LG 2021 soundbars out of five work with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, AirPlay 2, and also support intelligent room acoustics calibration. As for the high-altitude channels, all new items, with the exception of the SP7Y, support Dolby Atmos. The SP7Y works with virtual DTS: X. In addition, according to LG, the SP11RA, SP9YA, SP8YA and SP7Y soundbars are the first audio products to be certified by SGS Eco Product Certification.
All five LG soundbars are slated to launch in Europe and North America in late April, with more affordable mid-range and low-end soundbars due later this year. Pricing for the 2021 LG soundbars has yet to be announced.
