Light In The Attic Records to release “Start Walkin” compilation of 1965-1976 Nancy Sinatra songs
On the Light In The Attic Records label (translated from English this name sounds like “Light in the Attic”) will release a two-disc compilation of Nancy Sinatra (Nancy Sinatra) “Start Walkin ‘”. The CD and LP versions of the collection will include over 23 tracks. All this music was recorded during the singer’s most fruitful period, which lasted from 1965 to 1976. It was then that Nancy collaborated with Lee Hazlewood, who is recognized as her best author and producer.
Compilation material, obtained from original studio tapes, was prepared for LITA by Grammy-nominated sound engineer John Baldwin. The album will be supplemented by notes written by The New Yorker author and music critic Amanda Petrusich. The printing press will publish an interview with Sinatra herself and a series of questions, to which Hunter Lea, the co-producer of the reissue, also answered for the Grammy.
The CD edition will be complemented by a 64-page hardcover book, and a set of two vinyl discs will be issued in a common sleeve with a 24-page booklet. The first 100 copies of both versions of the album will be signed by Nancy Sinatra herself.
The double album ‘Start Walkin’ is slated for February 5th – pre-order is already available. Depending on the version and kit, in the US it will cost customers from $20 to $40.
