Materion and Radian Audio join forces to launch beryllium drivers
Two US acoustic companies, Materion and Radian Audio, have announced a partnership. Materion has been manufacturing beryllium diaphragms and speaker cones for over 20 years. This technology is in demand, thanks to it the piston movement of the sound-emitting surface is ensured, even at high frequencies. Beryllium domes, diffusers and Truextent diaphragms are supplied by Materion worldwide.
Radian Audio owns the full range of speaker technology, from concept and design to the assembly of complete woofer and tweeter drivers. The company uses global systems for the sale of its products and the supply of components for them.
In a joint statement by Dwight Tobiano, Chief Operating Officer of Radian, and Nicholas Farrah, Director of Industrial Sales, Marketing and Product Line at Materion, it is said: “The Materion and Radian Audio collaboration will provide loudspeaker manufacturers with the ability to use beryllium technology to meet their specific needs – from concept, design and manufacturing to the finished product”.
