Neumann Launches MA 1 Calibration and Correction System for KH Series Monitors

Neumann has released MA 1, a room calibration and correction system for Neumann DSP-equipped monitors. The system was created with the participation of the Fraunhofer Institute (Fraunhofer IIS). The calibration used a specially developed measuring microphone and software in versions for Mac and Windows. MA 1 has already been called “the beginning of a new era in Neumann monitoring”.

To calibrate the sound, the microphone is connected to the computer’s sound card, from which the correction data is sent to the DSP monitors via the network. The MA 1 system is compatible with the Neumann KH models (so far only the Neumann KH 80 DSP), as well as the KH 120, KH 310 and KH 420 analog studio monitors if they work with the KH 750 DSP subwoofer.

The recommended retail price for the Neumann MA 1 kit in Europe is 250 euros.
