Sonos added support for two wireless subwoofers

Sonos has released an update of its S2 software to version 12.2.2. by Installing the update, owners of the Sonos Arc, Beam, Playbar, Playbase or Amp models will be able to Supplement their system with not one, but two Sonos subwoofers.

It is claimed that this will make the bass sound even more powerful and / or compensate for the acoustic disadvantages of the room. Separately, the manufacturer noted that at least one of these two subwoofers must belong to the 3rd generation (Gen-3). We wrote about the release of these subwoofers in the spring of 2020.

To install a second subwoofer in the “Products” section, you will need to activate the corresponding home theater room and click “Connect second sub”. Then follow the instructions.

In addition, you can now add tracks to your favorites in the Sonos app when you play music from Spotify. This feature is available on the “Now Playing” screen.
