TIDAL Arkas is a new high-end streamer from Germany
The German company TIDAL Audio has released a new model of digital transport and streamer Arkas, designed for use in high-end systems.
The streamer has a linear stabilized power supply, which uses reliably shielded power transformers and filter capacitors with a capacity of 200,000 microfarads. The decoupling of the input signal is carried out by special transformers wound with a silver wire.
A digital signal can be fed through a USB or Ethernet port, and outputs to an external DAC are represented by optical, two coaxial (RCA and BNC) and balanced AES/EBU terminals. There is also a proprietary TIDAL-Link output to work with the TIDAL Camira model. Several precision clock generators are responsible for signal synchronization, the model supports all major Hi-Res audio formats up to DSD256 and PCM 32/384. The weight of the apparatus is 12 kilograms.
The TIDAL Arkas digital streamer went on sale for $29,000.
