Yamaha TW-E7A TWS headphones: noise canceling system listens to background noise and music

The flagship Yamaha TW-E7A wireless in-ear headphones are the only ones of the three models in the line (there is also TW-E5A and TW-E3A) equipped with active noise canceling. Moreover, this is a patented technology that takes into account not only background noise, but also the sound of the music being played.

The headphones are equipped with 6.2 mm speakers and weigh only 7 grams. They have received Yamaha Listening Care technology in Advanced version, based on the proprietary YPAO Volume design. The Listening Care claims to adjust the signal to achieve consistent sound quality at varying volumes and conditions.

For this, a microphone located in the ear canal is used. Advanced Listening Care also takes into account the dynamic range and recording level of the music signal. In addition, the sound of the headphones is optimized every 20 seconds, taking into account the contact density of the earbuds and changing listening conditions.

To configure the system, you will need to use a proprietary mobile application. The Yamaha TW-E7A works with Siri and Google Asisstant voice assistants.

The novelty is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 with adaptive codec aptX and True Wireless Stereo Plus technology from Qualcomm. The Yamaha TW-E7A enclosures are IPX5 compliant. You will need to use the supplied USB-C cable to charge the rechargeable case. After two hours, the earbuds are ready to work for 5 hours with active noise canceling on, then the case will provide the earbuds with another 3 hours of recharge. Also included are earmolds in five sizes.

Headphones TW-E7A will be on sale in the middle of this month. Their price on the American market will be $230.
