Archon earphones: minimum size and one hundred hours of autonomy
The Archon TWS headphones project appeared on Kickstarter, which can be considered one of the first representatives of the Microbuds class. Each earpiece is a cylinder with a diameter of 14 mm and a height of about 30 mm (including a silicone ear-tip).
According to the developer company, Singapore-based Omnyx, the Archon earbuds have been seriously improved. They are designed to provide increased comfort and 60% better passive noise isolation – all with a much softer silicone.
Archon has managed to fit 10mm drivers into compact enclosures. According to Omnyx, they will deliver rich sound combined with deep, powerful bass. The housings themselves are made of metal-reinforced plastic. As a result, the headphones will be able to withstand being dropped onto a hard floor.
At the same time, it ensured that the Archons were magnetically locked into their charging case. The creators of the headphones called it a docking station. It houses a 2,000 mAh battery. It will not only allow you to charge the headphones 20 times, providing 100 hours of playback, but is also able to work as a power bank for other gadgets.
The headphones support Bluetooth 5.0 format. The omnidirectional microphone is combined with an LED indicator and enhanced with voice enhancement functions. Moreover, each of the headphones can work independently. A single multifunctional button is used for control.
34 days before the end of the project, Archon earbuds raised more than $2,500 on Kickstarter (the total amount on an all-or-nothing basis is $11,177). To receive the headphones in March 2021, a minimum investment of $74 is required.
