Lithe Audio has released an active ceiling speaker with AirPlay 2 support
For the first time, information about the Lithe Audio ceiling speakers with AirPlay support appeared two years ago. In 2019, the firm showed off the updated model at the Invision Technology Showcase. Now the company has launched a version with AirPlay 2 support.
The manufacturer stated that the AirPlay 2 protocol and its installation speaker are the optimal solution for creating a multi-room system. The integrator will be able to connect all the speakers involved with HomeKit and Siri, as well as compatible devices such as sensors and timers.
Special attention was paid to the fact that Lithe Audio acoustics with AirPlay 2 are an all-in-one system. Thus, the column is equipped not only with emitters, but also with a built-in 60 W amplifier, as well as all the necessary modules for receiving signals from sources.
The speakers used one 165 mm Kevlar woofer and one 90 mm titanium tweeter. The drivers are closed with a magnetic grill (any color can be ordered). You can install the Lithe Audio AirPlay 2 speaker in almost any room. For example, the speaker is suitable for a bathroom, as it has IP44 protection.
In the UK market, the new Lithe Audio AirPlay 2 ceiling speaker was offered at a price of £330. A set of two speakers (one of which will be driven) will cost £30.
