Triangle unveils anniversary versions of Antal and Comète 40th Anniversary models
In honor of its 40th anniversary, the French company Triangle has released two acoustic models in the festive 40th Anniversary series: three-way floor standing Antal and two-way stand-mounted Comète shelf units. Both models feature anniversary additions and enhancements.
In particular, the Antal 40th Anniversary is equipped with TZ2520MG horn tweeters. Their tough magnesium alloy diaphragms anodized in red gold are complemented by compression chambers. The same tweeter is installed in Comète 40th Anniversary.
The driver of medium (and low for Comète) frequencies in both new products was equipped with a central bullet-shaped phase-equalizing body. The speaker is made in the tradition of Triangle: short travel with a relatively large cone. The diffuser itself has an optimized profile and is made of cellulose using a new proprietary technology.
The pair of woofers installed at the Antal 40th Anniversary uses Australe woofers from the older Esprit Ez series. Their diffusers are a complex composite sandwich of two cellulose blends with linen cloth and carbon fiber.
The red gold tweeters in the Triangle 40th Anniversary acoustics are in harmony with the golden finish of the speaker cable terminals and the golden trims on the cabinets. The cabinets are available in Santos rosewood veneer and high-gloss lacquer, or in a light matt Sycamore finish. The set includes two sets of supports: rubber for hard surfaces and height-adjustable aluminum spikes, also anodized in gold.
In Europe, the Triangle 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Antal 40th is already on sale for €3,000 and the Comète at €1,500 per pair.
