Triode TRX-P300M – monoblock on a pair of legendary lamps

The Japanese company Triode has introduced a new monophonic amplifier TRX-P300M. The device is made in a classic design for tube amplifiers. The output stage is implemented on a pair of famous 300B direct-glow triodes that work in parallel.

The input stage is built on dual 12bh7 and 12AU triodes. When working on a load with a nominal resistance of 8 Ohms, the amplifier develops up to 15 Watts. The operating range of the device extends from 10 Hz to 50 kHz at the level of -3 dB. At the same time, the signal-to-noise ratio remains at 87 dB.

On the back wall of the amplifier there is a sensitivity switch for the input, made on a high-quality gold-plated RCA connector. You can use it to reduce the sensitivity by 6 dB if necessary. To connect the speaker system, four screw terminals are provided-separately for speakers with nominal resistance of 6, 8 and 16 Ohms.

The device is clad in a metal case, the front panel is made of cast aluminum plate. Of the controls on it, there is only a power button. Included with the amplifier is a metal protective grille for lamps. The weight of the Triode TRX-P300M is 16 kg.
